Walk to the top of Spion Kop with Judy
It was a gorgeous day for a walk up Spion Kop in Lake Country, just outside Kelowna and very handy as it was across the road from Don and Judy's house! The views from the top were spectacular…all 4 lakes were so clear, Lake Okanagan, Duck Lake, Wood Lake and Kalamalka…

I got your Christmas card the other day, and felt so bad that in all these years you have religiously sent me cards and I ve never been in touch. So here I am. Your new life looks so amazing..... what a wonderful change for you all, you look very happy. It's funny because my closest friends in Dubai both have family in Kelowna!
ReplyDeleteA lot has changed for me in recent years. Michael and I separated nearly 8 years ago and have since divorced. We all still live in Dubai but he is remarried now. Millie lives officially with me but she sees a lot of her Dad. Its been a struggle but I am much happier on my own. I have a small Waldorf Steiner homeschool group, teaching 8 children between the ages of 9 and nearly 13. I have been doing that for 7 years. I am almost a fully qualified Waldorf teacher, I have two more visits to the teacher training college in New York to go and will graduate in the summer! I love it! Millie is almost 12 and goes to the American School of Dubai, long story but though it is not my preferred method of education she is happy and the school has amazing facilities and dedicated staff. We love the ocean and the warm weather here, but I wish for a more outdoors life and one not so grounded in materialism as most things are here, it's hard to fight it, especially when ones child is at one of the most expensive schools in the city! Anyway...... Are you teaching? Working? Stay at home Mum..... full time job in itself! Thank you for your card and lovely photo and so glad that you are living somewhere so wonderful!
